Warren man pleads innocent to child-endangering charges

WARREN

A 38-year-old Meadowbrook Avenue Southeast man pleaded innocent Thursday to three misdemeanor counts of child endangering and two misdemeanor counts of domestic violence.

Robert Patterson’s live-in girlfriend said he tried to wreck their car with three small children in it while she and Patterson were having an argument.

Police arrested Patterson at 9:34 p.m. Wednesday after the girlfriend called authorities to their home.

She told police she was driving, and Patterson grabbed the wheel of the car and attempted to cause a wreck because of their argument.

Three children — age 1, 2 and 3 — were in the car at the time. The girlfriend said Patterson also threatened her and her son.

A judge in Warren Municipal Court set bond at $20,000 for Patterson, who returns to court at 1:30 p.m. June 27.
