Trumbull Fair to feature two pageants

Two pageants will take place at this year’s Trumbull County Fair — one for Trumbull County residents age 4 to 7 and one for females age 15 to 19.

The Miss Trumbull County Fair pageant for females age 15 to 19 will be at 7 p.m. July 9. The winner receives a $1,000 savings bond.

The competition includes four phases: resume/essay, introductory walk-on, autobiographical speech and on-stage question. The contestants also are scored on poise and appearance.

New this year will be the Little Kings and Queen Contest, open to children who live in or attend school in Trumbull County, at 7 p.m. July 11. There will be two age divisions with four contestants awarded the titles of Trumbull County Fair little king, queen, prince and princess.

All titleholders will be awarded a savings bond. Judging will be based on an introductory walk-on, on-stage question (determined in advance), confidence and appearance.
