Therapeutic horse riding program building new indoor arena


SOUTHINGTON

The Camelot Center, 3498 Barclay Messerly Road, which operates a therapeutic horse riding program, will break ground on a new indoor riding arena at 6 p.m. July 13.

The structure, to be more than 7,600 square feet, will provide year-round shelter for program participants.

On the same day, the center will have its Christmas at Camelot fundraiser, featuring live music, food, live auction and silent auction. Tickets are $40 per couple, $25 per person.

The nonprofit Camelot Center provides riding to physically, mentally or emotionally disabled, learning disabled, minority and/or disadvantaged children and adults.
