Karate, sports, gardening among classes at day camp for kids 4-14

YOUNGSTOWN

Registration for McGuffey Centre’s Summer Day Camp starts at 10 a.m. Monday at the center, 1649 Jacobs Road.

The camp, for ages 6 to 14, begins June 24. A co-ed basketball camp, etiquette workshops, beginning karate classes, golf lessons and gardening will be offered to participants. Instructors will include Brunilda Turner, Kathy Baldwin, David Hight, Vince Shivers and Samantha Turner.

The camp is co-sponsored by the Youngstown Community Initiative to Reduce Violence.
