Boardman grant will provide fire department training

BOARDMAN

The township received a $20,250 grant from the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio.

The money will be used by the fire department and will provide training courses on alternative-fuel vehicles, hazardous materials and confined space rescue.

This grant was one of eight, totaling $117,400, that PUCO approved for state and local government agencies throughout Ohio.
