Trumbull County Ag Society will sponsor youth pageants

Trumbull County Agricultural Society is sponsoring two pageants for Trumbull County youth.

The Miss Trumbull County Fair pageant takes place each year during the fair. It is for any Trumbull County girl between 15 and 19. Her responsibilities are to promote the fair and be a representative of the agricultural society. She will receive a $1,000 savings bond. It will take place at 7 p.m. July 9 and will include r sum /essay, introductory walk-on, autobiographical speech and on-stage question. Poise and overall appearance also will be considered.

A new pageant has been added this year for boys and girls between 4 and 7 who live in or attend schools in the county. It will include Trumbull County Fair Little King, Queen, Prince and Princess. Each will be awarded a savings bond and a trophy or medallion.

It will take place at 7 p.m. July 11, and judging will be based on an introductory walk-on, on-stage question (determined in advance), confidence and overall appearance.

Applications and rules for both pageants are available online at www.trumbullcountyfair.com and are due by June 21. Space is limited.

There will be two rehearsals to prepare for the events.
