Memorable quotes from winners, presenters and guests at the 2013 Tony Awards:
v Cyndi Lauper: “I want to thank Harvey Fierstein for calling me up. I’m so glad I was done with the dishes and answered the phone.” (she teamed up with Tony-winning Fierstein, to create the best musical “Kinky Boots.”)
v Alan Cumming: “Yes, ladies and gentlemen, it’s the portion of the evening where two actors who are not nominated for their performances on Broadway this season very graciously give a Tony to someone who was.” (Cumming was presenting with Scarlett Johansson.)
v Billy Porter: “You are my rock, my sword, my shield. Your grace gives me presence. I share this award with you. I’m gonna keep it at my house! But I share it with you.” (In his acceptance speech, Porter said this to his “Kinky Boots” co-star Stark Sands, whom he beat for best leading man in a musical.)
v Cicely Tyson: “‘Please wrap it up,’ it says. Well, that’s exactly what you did with me: You wrapped me up in your arms after 30 years.” (Tyson returned to Broadway after three decades and won for best actress in a play but ran afoul of the stage managers on Tony night.)
v Judith Light: “I want to thank every woman that I am in this category nominated with: you have made this a celebration, not a competition.” (Light said this after winning for best featured actress in a play, beating Judith Ivey, Condola Rashad, Shalita Grant and Carrie Coon.)
“Pretty Little Liars” (8 p.m., ABC Family): Season 4 of “Pretty Little Liars” actually begins a few moments before the end of March’s cliffhanger as we learn what the girls saw in that trunk that was so shocking. The premiere of “Twisted,” a small-town murder mystery, immediately follows.
“Jimmy Kimmel Live: Game Night” (8 p.m., ABC): Stars of the new movie “Grown Ups 2” join the late-night host for this NBA Finals Game 3 pre-game preview (the pre-game airs at 8:30 p.m., followed by the game at 9).
“Twisted” 9 p.m., ABC Family: A former juvie is suspected of a classmate’s murder in this series pilot.
