Hospice will offer grief camp for kids

VILLA MARIA, PA.

Hospice of the Valley’s children’s grief camp is a day camp for children 8 to 15 who have experienced the recent death of a loved one.

This year’s camp will be from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. June 19 and 20 and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 21 on the campus of Villa Maria.

The goal of camp is to teach children coping skills related to loss as well as interaction with those who have had similar experiences. All activities are designed and led by trained professionals working in the area of grief.

The camp is free and open to anyone in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties. Meals and snacks are provided daily.
