The Columbiana Area Chamber of Commerce will host a business breakfast at 7:30 a.m. Friday at the Dutch Haus Restaurant. The topic is “Drilling Down the Utica Play,” and speakers include Jason Wilson of the Governor’s Office of Appalachia and Harry Schurr, general manager of Utica Operations for CONSOL Energy.
The cost is $10 for chamber members and $15 for nonmembers. Reservations are required and can be made by calling the chamber office at 330-482-3822.
Educator program

A new program will give local educators the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the manufacturing industry and see how it can be applied to the classroom.
Educator in the Manufacturing Workplace is a collaborative project among Oh-Penn Interstate Region Partners, Lawrence County School to Work, Mahoning County Career and Technical Center, Youngstown State University, Industry Partners of Lawrence and Mercer Counties and Mahoning Valley Manufacturers Coalition.

Fair-housing study
The Northeast Ohio Sustainable Communities Consortium is releasing a draft study evaluating fair housing throughout Northeast Ohio.
The study is based on an analysis of regional and local data, along with input from residents.
The public can comment on the study Tuesday at 9 a.m. in the community room at the Covelli Centre in Youngstown and at 11:30 a.m. at The Wean Foundation in the Western Reserve Room at 147 W. Market St. in Warren.
