Warren man arrested after brief standoff
WARREN — A West Avenue NW man held police at bay briefly Sunday afternoon.
Police were called to 1741 West Ave. NW at about 2:15 p.m. Sunday after a woman said she was in an argument with her son and he fired a shot from a gun, assaulted her and ran to an upstairs bedroom with the gun.
Police arrived and surrounded the house and blocked the area off until the man, later identified as 26-year-old Darren Lee, came out of the house about 45 minutes later.
