10th Smoky Hollow Run, fun walk set for July 13

The 10th annual Youngstown State University and Smoky Hollow 5K Run and Family Fun Walk will be July 13.

The 5K run starts at 8:30 a.m. with the 1-mile family fun walk starting at 8:40 a.m. Both events start and end inside YSU’s WATTS center.

Entry fee is $15 before July 8 and $20 after or on race day. Race-day registration starts at 7:15 a.m. Children 10 and under are free. The first 250 registrants will receive T-shirts. Online registration is available at www.gopherarun.com.

Participants are asked to bring their old, clean running shoes for recycling.

Race winners in the following categories will receive fruit pies: top three male and female runners; top male and female runner over 40; top male and female over 50; and top three places in each age group. All one-mile walk finishers will receive a ribbon. All children participants will receive a medal.
