Shootings, stabbing probed by Warren police


WARREN — Two people were shot and another stabbed over the weekend.

About 10:40 p.m. Sunday, Montrea Roberts, 23, of Union Street SW, was shot at a 1744 W. Market St gas station. He was taken to ValleyCare Trumbull Memorial Hospital for treatment.

At 2:45 a.m Sunday, Khiry Taylor, 20, of Idylwild Street, was stabbed during a large disturbance at 1994 Rodgers Ave. SE. A woman at that address told police her home was struck by several bullets during that fight. He was also taken to Trumbull Memorial.

About 3:45 a.m. Saturday, police were called to 421 School St. for a disturbance and when they got there the people involved had left, reports said. However, a short time later, Sa’Taunt Warfield, 23 of Front Street SW, showed up at Trumbull Memorial with a gunshot wound to the arm.

And about 6:45 p.m. Saturday, someone fired several shots at the Mega Car Wash, 2492 Youngstown Road SE, as several people were outside. Police found a spent .40-caliber shell casing. No one was injured.
