New prez named for Shenango Valley Catholic School System

HERMITAGE, PA. — Bishop Lawrence T. Persico of the Diocese of Erie has announced the appointment of the Rev. Michael P. Allison as president of the Shenango Valley Catholic School System effective July 7.

The Shenango Valley School System includes Kennedy Catholic High School, Kennedy Catholic Middle School and Blessed John Paul II Elementary School, all in Hermitage.

Father Allison will succeed the Rev. Marc Stockton. Bishop Persico has appointed Father Stockton to work in the Diocesan Chancery effective July 8, and to attend Catholic University of America in Washington DC to begin studies in Canon Law. Father Stockton has served as president of the school system since 2011.
