Horses showcased inside and outside the Butler

Gail Warren of Youngstown holds her grandson, DreVon Robinson, 3, above, to pet Brodie, a 3-year-old Clydesdale horse, outside the Butler Institute of American Art. Brodie visited Sunday as part of the Youngstown museum’s promotion of photo-realist painter Peter Maier’s work “Horse-Power (Ben),” a 9-by-111/2-foot Budweiser Clydesale portrait on display through the summer at the Wick Avenue art museum. Below, spectators gathered on the steps of the museum to see Brodie and take pictures.
