PH.D

McDonald graduate gets Ph.D.

Carl William Rossler has received his Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering from Ohio State University. He is the son of Carl and Marjorie Rossler of McDonald.

Rossler is a 2003 graduate of McDonald High School and earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical and computer engineering at Youngstown State University in 2007.

During his time at OSU, he participated in a fellowship program with the Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton. He is a research engineer for Matrix Research Inc. in Dayton.

DOCTORS

Warren JFK graduate earns degree in dentistry from OSU

Stephen J. Orlosky, son of Mark and Susan Orlosky of Girard, earned his doctor of dentistry degree from Ohio State University’s College of Dentistry.

Dr. Orlosky is a graduate of Warren John F. Kennedy High School and received his bachelor’s degree from Walsh University. During his schooling, Dr. Orlosky was the vice president of Delta Sigma Delta dental fraternity, volunteered for Give Kids a Smile, and was nominated for the Carl O. Boncher Award. Dr. Orlosky is in practice at Braydich Dental in Hubbard.

LAWYERS

Boardman grad gets law degree

Rena Nicole Passas, daughter of Michael and Claire Passas, graduated from Capital University Law School in Columbus with a juris doctor degree.

She will take the bar exam in July and plans to pursue a career in criminal law. She is 2007 graduate of Boardman High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and international diplomacy from Ohio State University.
