Smart Choice food orders being taken in Niles

New Hope United Methodist Church, 21 Fairview Ave., is accepting orders for Smart Choice food from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 11 a.m. to noon June 17. The Ohio Direction card will be accepted on both days.

Boxes include meat, vegetables, convenience meals, kids box, sausage box, grill box and pork-chop box. Prices range from $24 to $36.

A special 10-pound box of breaded-chicken pieces will cost $13. Each $36 Smart Choice box will include a free 1- to 2-pound protein item. There are no income restrictions or guidelines.

Mail orders will be accepted until Friday with payment of postal or bank money orders or certified check made out to New Hope United Methodist Church.

To receive a receipt, enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope. Online orders at smartchoicefood.com will close at 7 p.m. June 19. A 3-percent handling fee will be added to all online orders.

Boxes will be distributed from 9 to 10 a.m. June 29. During the distribution, a community breakfast will be served from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. For information, call 330-652-3625.
