Domestic violence survivor to speak at shelter campaign kick-off Monday


NEW CASTLE, Pa.

The annual campaign kick-off for Crisis Shelter of Lawrence County, 1218 W. State St., will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday.

The keynote speaker will be a survivor whose personal testament encourages victims not to suffer in silence.

The shelter is the only domestic-violence and sexual-assault agency in Lawrence County. The shelter provides counseling services for victims of violence and abuse, legal and medical advocacy for victims, emergency shelter and transitional housing.
