Howland youth programs begin Monday

HOWLAND

The Howland Summer Youth Sport and Recreation Program will offer two programs from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through next Friday.

A fishing program and a painting/drawing program will be for children age 6 to 13. Fishing participants must bring a fishing pole with hook, bobber and bait, athletic attire and shoes.

Painting participants must bring an art box with glue, scissors and coloring supplies.

The fishing program will be at Howland Township Park off Clifton Drive Northeast on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. It will be at Community Gardens, 3938 N. River Road, on Wednesday.

The painting/drawing program will be at Howland Middle School on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and next Friday and at Community Gardens on Wednesday.

Registration for both programs is $20 for Howland residents, $30 for nonresidents and can be done at the township administration building, 205 Niles- Cortland Road NE.
