Maplewood, McDonald lead area track athletes at state meet

Maplewood and McDonald finished fourth and fifth, respectively, in the boys Division III 4x800-meter relay at Friday's first day of the state track and field meet in Columbus.

McDonald junior Jai'Lyn Mosley placed fourth in the discus and United's girls 4x800 relay placed fourth to lead other Division III placers.

In Division II, Salem's Ciera Trybend was fifth in the discus and classmate Anthony Shivers was sixth in the shot put through the early stages of competition.
