Pair wounded in shootout

Victims found at South Side gas station

YOUNGSTOWN

Police say two men were wounded in a shootout about 11:40 p.m. Thursday at a 2325 South Ave. gas station.

Eric Moschella, 32, was shot in the leg and David Ferguson, 23, was shot in the arm. Both are from Manchester Avenue.

When police arrived they found a car in the parking lot that Moschella and Ferguson had been in that had its hood and windshield riddled with bullets.

Ferguson has a carrying a concealed weapons permit and told police three men wearing masks fired at him and Moschella and Ferguson fired back five times. He wasn’t sure if he hit anyone but he did hit their car, reports said.

Both men were taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center.
