Father and son shot in W. Pa. bar
WASHINGTON, Pa. (AP) — Pennsylvania State Police are searching for two suspects after a father and son were shot outside a western Pennsylvania bar.
Police say the shooting happened at about 1 a.m. today outside the Cozy Corner Bar in Washington. That’s about 30 miles southwest of Pittsburgh.
Authorities have charged 20-year-old Tevin Heyman with two counts of attempted homicide, and 24-year-old Eric Johnson Jr. is wanted for aggravated assault.
The incident began as Akili Sutton fought with another man, and then Johnson allegedly struck him from behind, knocking him down. Robert Sutton, Akili’s father, then began to fight with Johnson. Heyman then allegedly shot Robert Sutton multiple times and shot Akili in the face as he was lying on the ground.
Police say a video system recorded the events.
