A Plazaview Court woman was arraigned in municipal court Monday after police say she stabbed a woman after a fight that drew a large crowd late Saturday evening.

Arraigned on the charge of felonious assault was Michele West, 19, who was arrested about 11 p.m. Saturday after police were called to the apartment complex for a fight between two women.

Reports said there was a large crowd watching the women fight and that the woman West was fighting was bleeding from a cut over her eye that she said came after West grabbed something out of her purse and stabbed her with it.

Police could not find the purse or the object, reports said.

Also arrested was Braylon Howell, 18, of Bonnie Brae Avenue, for the charges of misconduct at an emergency, felonious assault on a police officer and obstructing official business. Reports say he refused to leave the area after police ordered him to, he yelled at the victim and he pushed an officer several times before he was taken to the ground and handcuffed.

Howell was also arraigned in municipal court.
