Boardman man charged with Salem homicide

SALEM — Salem police charged a 34-year-old Boardman man with killing his estranged girlfriend today inside her Oak Street house here.

Mason M. Feisel of Afton Avenue is in the Columbiana County jail without bond pending arraignment in county municipal court either Thursday or Friday, said Sgt. Dave Talbert, the lead investigator on this case.

Police didn’t provide details on how they believe Samantha A. Shasteen, 32, died.

But police charged Feisel with her murder and called her his “estranged girlfriend.”

Shasteen’s father called police, who found her body in the bathroom of the home about 7:30 a.m. today.
