YSU committees back tuition increase, transportation fee
YOUNGSTOWN
A Youngstown State University committee voted today to increase undergraduate tuition for resident students by 2.4 percent.
Trustee Harry Meshel cast the lone dissenting vote this afternoon.
Also, a university committee approved a $115 per semester transportation fee to replace the $120 parking fee. The new fee will be mandatory for students enrolled in at least six credit hours.
The transportation fee is for fall and spring semesters.
It is $58 for summer semester.
Both committee actions are subject to approval by the university’s full board of trustees.
