Truck overturns in Hubbard

HUBBARD

A southbound tractor-trailer left State Route 7, north of Chestnut Ridge Road, about 1:25 p.m. Sunday, struck a utility pole and driveway culvert and overturned, spilling part of its load of new, empty propane tanks; but there were no injuries, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.

The road was closed into the evening hours, while Ohio Edison electric and AT&T telephone crews worked to restore service.

Jeffrey L. Retar, 44, of Youngstown, drove the rig, which is owned by Nick Strimbu Trucking of Brookfield, the patrol said.
