Avalon Golf and Country Club and Cerni Motors are teaming up to host the 2013 golf scramble to benefit HandsOn Volunteer Network.

As longtime supporters, Cerni and Shaffer are offering participants a day of golf June 24 at Squaw Creek, 761 Youngstown-Kingsville Road, one of the area’s premier courses. In addition to golfing, participants will be able to enjoy food and beverages, competition, country club service and prizes.

The day’s schedule follows: 11:30 a.m., registration and driving privileges; noon, lunch; 1 p.m., shotgun start; 5:30 p.m., dinner, awards and cash bar.
