Remodeled ALDI reopens in Salem

On Monday, ALDI will reopen in Salem at 2495 E. State St. The store had been closed for remodeling.

As part of the reopening there will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony, product samples and a tour of the store. The ribbon-cutting will take place at 8:45 a.m.

ALDI has more than 1,200 U.S. stores in 32 states. Over the past several years, ALDI has added about 50 to 80 new stores each year.

Nature’s Wonders Greenhouse moves

Nature’s Wonders Greenhouse has moved to a larger location to handle increased demand for its chemical-free vegetables.

The organic greenhouse is at 11734 South Ave., which is at the corner of state Routes 7 and 164.

Nature’s Wonders Greenhouse is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The greenhouse can be reached at 330-406-1850.

St. Joe’s sponsors farmers’ markets

A series of farmers’ markets are planned for downtown Warren starting next week.

The Warren markets are sponsored by St. Joseph Health Center in collaboration with the Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership.

The location was chosen because of its easy accessibility to the public.

The first St. Joseph farmers’ market in Warren took place Friday.

The farmers’ markets continue on the downtown Courthouse Square on the same days at “Noon in the Park,” which are June 21, July 19, Aug. 16, Sept. 20 and Oct. 18.

The farmers’ markets are open from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Beta Alpha Psi recognizes Ballone

Carmela Ballone, a staff tax accountant at regional CPA and business advisory firm Cohen & Company, has been recognized as the Outstanding Alumni of the Year by Youngstown State University’s Beta Alpha Psi organization.

The national honorary organization for business and financial information students recognizes alumni who they feel serves as a professional role model to the local chapter.

Quaker Steak puts out new menu

Sharon-based Quaker Steak & Lube has released a new menu nationwide.

“The main goal of this menu is to highlight our brand new seasonal items, while placing an emphasis on our fan favorite Red, White and Lube-A-Licious promotion,” said Katy Malaniak, senior director of food and beverage at Quaker Steak & Lube.

“This summer, we want guests around the country to enjoy traditional American cuisine with our signature Lube twist,” Malaniak said.
