Toddler flown to Pittsburgh hospital after crash
WAYNE, Pa.
Pennsylvania State Police at New Castle say a 3-year-old boy was flown by helicopter to Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh after an accident at about 3:30 p.m. on Portersville Road.
A news release states a car driving east on Portersville Road driven by 33-year-old Mark Robert Bacon of Ellwood City crossed into the opposite lane into the path of a car driven by 59-year-old Mary Anna Jenkins, also of Ellwood City.
The release said the boy was a passenger in Bacon’s car and was not properly restrained and that neither Bacon nor Jenkins was wearing a seat belt. Jenkins was treated for minor injuries at Ellwood City Hospital.
