Police say a man shot in both legs about 4:25 a.m. today on Elliot Lane on the East Side has not been very cooperative.

Officers were called to the area of 87 Elliot Lane for a report of gunfire and found a man on a porch at 92 Elliot Lane who had gunshot wounds to both legs. The man told police he was “outside chilling” when he was shot.

The man gave police a fake name and did not give much information, reports said. At the crime scene officers found four spent shell casings and seven .12-gauge shotgun shells, reports said.
