Ohio man gets 10 years for casino robbery

COLUMBUS (AP) — One of the men who followed a Columbus casino winner home and robbed him of his winnings has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.

The Columbus Dispatch reports that investigators used surveillance video and cellphone records to identify the three thieves who robbed a man of $35,800 hours after he won it playing blackjack at the Hollywood Casino Columbus Oct. 21.

Prosecutors say 20-year-old Ryan Bundy admitted his role in robbing David Hayes. He pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated burglary with a gun specification Monday as part of a plea agreement.

One co-defendant in the case is scheduled for trial Monday. The third is still being sought.

Hayes sued the casino in the robbery, contending a cashier should have issued him a check instead of cash.
