Classic car show is Saturday in New Waterford

The fifth annual antique and classic car show will take place from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Abundant Life Fellowship, 46469 state Route 46.

There are no entry fees, and the event is free to all.

Trophies will be awarded for winners. The show is open for any make, model or year of car, truck or motorcycle. All entries receive magnetic dash plaques.

August Overflow is an annual outreach event sponsored by the church and local businesses and agencies. Most events begin at noon.

A highlight of the day is distribution of school supplies to students in all grades in Crestview, Columbiana, East Palestine, Leetonia, Beaver Local and Lisbon districts, as well as Heartland Christian School and home-schoolers who live in those districts.

Those receiving school supplies must bring a report card for each child and a driver’s license to show proof of residency.

Other services provided and activities scheduled during the day are haircuts, distribution of produce, food service, clothing giveaway, children’s games, face painting, bounce-arounds and a blood drive.

About 6:30 p.m., the day will conclude with a brief worship service in the sanctuary.

Agency sponsors are The Way Station, Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley and the American Red Cross.
