Accounting

Rachel Leedy, Tom Korhely and Ashlea Pollock have been hired at the Boardman office of Hill, Barth & King LLC.

Leedy was a double major at Youngstown State University earning a bachelor of science in business administration with a major in accounting and a bachelor of applied science majoring in information technology and a minor in human- resource management.

Korhely has returned to the Boardman office and will work in the IT Department. He had worked for HbK from 2005-11.

Pollock graduated with a bachelor of science degree in applied science in criminal justice from Youngstown State University. Her new position is internal accounting associate.

Steve Meyer also has joined the staff at the HbK Hermitage, Pa., office as an associate.

Jessie C. Wright, CPA, CGMA, has been promoted to the position of senior team accountant at Schroedel, Scullin & Bestic, CPAs and Strategic Advisors.

The board of directors at Consumers Bancorp Inc., the holding company for Consumers National Bank, appointed Frank L. Paden as a director of Consumers Bancorp Inc. and Consumers National Bank effective July 15. He will also serve on the audit, risk and compensation committees.

Health care

Frances Frantz, RN, BSN, has joined the staff of Shepherd of the Valley-Niles as the new director of nursing. Frantz was previously employed at Humility House, where she also was the director of nursing.

Law

Attorney Samuel G. Amendolara of Youngstown has been honored for his work by receiving the title of “Lawyer of the Year” from the Mahoning County Bar Association.

Marketing

JaneCo founder Jane Roqueplot is participating in a webinar on using social media for networking. The webinar is titled “Social Networking Using Social Media: Maximize your opportunities on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and similar platforms.”

Media

Brookfield High School and YSU graduate Chelsea Miller received the Associated Press first-place award in Enterprise Journalism and the Press Club of Cleveland’s Ohio Excellence in Journalism third-place award in Investigative Reporting. Miller is a newspaper reporter at The Chronicle Telegram in Elyria.
