Staff Report
BOARDMAN
The board of education accepted the resignation of Transportation Supervisor Hugh Braham on Saturday.
The resignation was on the agenda for the board’s regular monthly meeting. Currently, there is no one serving in Braham’s place, and a timetable has not been set to fill his job, said board President John Landers.
Braham was stopped by the Ohio State Highway Patrol on South Avenue near Tiffany Boulevard just before midnight May 17 and charged with operating a vehicle impaired and failure to signal.
A suppression hearing in his case is set for Aug. 20 before Judge Joseph M. Houser in Mahoning County Area Court here.
Braham has worked for the school district for more than 30 years.
In other business Saturday, the board approved a motion to award a contract to R.T. Vernal Construction to resurface the parking lot at Glenwood Middle School.
The board also approved several supplemental contracts and revisions to 16 board policies, including records retention, student records and relations with parent and booster organizations.
