Erin Elizabeth Heck and Matthew Brian Shambaugh, both of Cincinnati, exchanged wedding vows May 25 at St. Patrick Church. The Rev. Edward Noga officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony.

A reception followed at The Lake Club in Poland.

After a honeymoon trip to the Coconut Bay Resort in Vieux Fort, St. Lucia, the couple reside in Cincinnati.

Robert and Cynthia Heck of Poland are the parents of the bride. The parents of the groom are Brian and Cindy Shambaugh of Austintown.

The bride wore a lace A-line gown with a scalloped neckline and cathedral train. Her tulle veil, also cathedral length, was accented with Swarovski cystals.

Lauren Plevniak, a cousin of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Ashley Miller, Caitlin Hall and Ann Mason. The bride’s cousin, Victoria Fusco, was flower girl. The attendants wore eggplant-colored gowns.

The groom’s brother, Kurt Shambaugh, performed the duties of best man. Groomsmen were Chris Batty; Vinny Romano; and Sean Heck, brother of the bride.

The bride earned bachelor’s degrees in chemistry and chemical engineering from St. Mary’s College of the University of Notre Dame.

The groom received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Youngstown State University.

Both are pursuing master’s degrees in supply chain management from Pennsylvania State University and work at GE Aviation in Cincinnati, where she is a material fulfillment leader and he is a material planner.
