UPDATE | Youngstown homicide victim identified

YOUNGSTOWN — Police reports identify the man who was shot and killed at a 3721 Loveland Road home about 11:50 p.m. Thursday as 19-year-old Daniel Watkins of Boardman.

He was found slumped over the center console of a car in the driveway when the police arrived with several gunshot wounds to the chest and died later of his wounds.

Detectives are investigating. Police were called for a report of gunfire in the area.

The death is the ninth homicide in the city this year.
