Pa. man sentenced to another 10 months in prison for probation violation

A Stoneboro, Pa., man who failed to stop at a stop sign, causing an accident that killed a Liberty motorcyclist in Brookfield in 2007, is going back to prison for 10 months as a result of a probation violation.

Dwayne M. Redinger Jr., 26, was back in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court on Thursday for a probation violation resulting from being convicted of operating a motor vehicle impaired in a single-car accident in Stoneboro on June 3, 2012.Judge Ronald Rice sentenced Redinger to complete the remainder of the two-year prison sentence imposed by Judge John M. Stuard in 2008.

Judge Stuard allowed Redinger to go free in December 2009 after serving one year of his sentence. Redinger also served jail time in Pennsylvania while waiting for his probation violation to be resolved in Ohio.

In 2007, Redinger pulled out onto state Route 82 at Collar-Price Road, causing a collision with Michael D. Brown, 38, of Sampson Drive in Liberty, killing Brown. Redinger left the scene and later removed a distinctive yellow sticker on his pickup truck.

An anonymous letter helped police locate Redinger nine months later.
