Community members got inspired by Pinterest July 11 at the Poland library.

Poland librarian, Missy Williams, taught the basics of Pinterest, a social networking site.

“The nice thing about Pinterest is its a virtual pinboard,” said Williams.

Williams said you can pin anything you find on that web that interests you.

The class went through how to sign up for the site, create pin boards, follow pinners, add pins and repin items and how to comment.

Marie Pupino attended the class because she knew nothing about Pinterest.

“I want to learn how to get around on the site and how to navigate it,” said Pupino. “[Williams] is also an excellent teacher.”

Williams said the library is working toward bringing a lot of technology classes for the public.

“We receive a lot of questions about technology,” said Williams.

The next technology classes offered at the library are Connect with Your eReader Aug. 3 from 10-11 a.m. and Appy Hour Aug. 6 from 6-7 p.m.
