School-supply mock store set up at Beatitude House

YOUNGSTOWN

Disadvantaged children served by Beatitude House will “shop” for needed school supplies at a mock store being set up at Beatitude House administrative offices.

Donations from the community are being sought.

Clothing needed includes school uniforms; red or white polo shirts; navy, khaki or black pants; red, navy, black or white cardigan sweaters with no logos or brand names on the outside; socks and underwear. Sizes are from preschool to adult.

Classroom supplies include folders, three-ring binders, flash drives, notecards, book covers, assignment books, calculators, scissors, highlighters, rulers, pencil boxes, tissues, hand sanitizers, paper towels, sandwich-size zip plastic bags and sanitizing wipes.

Donations will be accepted at from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays through Aug. 7 at 238 Tod Lane, near St. Edward Church.
