Campbell teachers, school board reach tentative agreement

The Campbell Board of Education and the Campbell Education Association, the union representing the district’s teachers, have reached a tentative agreement after resuming contract negotiations Tuesday.

Tom Robey, superintendent, said each side’s negotiating team will recommend that the tentative agreement be approved sometime “in the not too far future.”

“It was challenging,” said Robey, referring to the negotiations, “but we made an agreement for the betterment of the district.”

The 93-member union and the board have been involved in negotiations since mid-March.
