Boardman police arrest suspect in Subway robbery
BOARDMAN
Boardman police arrested a Warrensville Heights, Ohio, man who had a warrant out for his arrest after police say he robbed the Subway on Market Street at gunpoint in November 2012.
James E. Workman III, 22, was picked up by Boardman police at the Mahoning County Area Court here and brought to the station to be booked on Tuesday. He was transported back to Boardman Court afterward where Mahoning County Sheriff deputies took custody of him, according to a report.
Police said Workman and another man entered the Subway with bandanas and masks covering their faces and robbed an employee at gunpoint demanding money. Workman and the other suspect took all the cash in the drawer once it was opened and put it in a black bag and ran southeast, around the northeast corner of the Town and Country Motel on Market Street, according to a report.
