SOV Boardman names new medical director

Shepherd of the Valley - Boardman, located at 7148 West Blvd in Boardman, recently welcomed Armand L. Minotti, D.O., as its new medical director. Dr. Minotti specializes in family practice and is board certified by the American Board of Family Practice.

Dr. Minotti is a graduate of the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed an internship at Youngstown Osteopathic Hospital and his residency in family practice at Western Reserve Health Care, now ValleyCare of Ohio.

In practice with Prima Healthcare since 2006, part of his responsibility is to follow patients when they go to the hospital. He noted that there is a huge geriatric population in the area, for which he likes to care. In coming “on-board” with Shepherd of the Valley - Boardman, he is able to complete the continuum of care, following the patients from the Prima Healthcare offices to the hospital through rehabilitation and back to Prima Healthcare.

In addition to his medical practice, Dr. Minotti is Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Practice and assistant professor of Medicine for Northeast Ohio University College of Medicine (NEOUCOM) Rotating Center for Students.
