Pet food drive to help shelters

Local animal charities A Call Fur Help, For the Dogs Animal Rescue, Northeast Ohio Lab Rescue and West Side Cats are collecting food and other goods at designated locations as well as through an online food drive throughout the month for a Christmas in July event.

Animal organizations receive peak donations during the holidays and run the leanest in the summer.

Donations will be accepted at the following locations until July 31:

• Angels for Animals, 4750 West South Range Road, Canfield.

• Cobblestone Corner, 6234 Market St., Youngstown.

• Kerpsack Veterinary Clinic, 707 S. Meridian Road, Youngstown.

• Meshel Workshop, Mahoning County Board of Developmental Disabilities, 160 Marwood Circle, Boardman.

• Petco, 317 Boardman- Poland Road, Boardman.

• Santa Fe “The Southwestern Caf ,” 2626 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown.

• West Side Cats, 2217 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown.
