Five arrested after stabbing

Police say five people were arrested on burglary charges after a man was stabbed on the North Side early Wednesday afternoon while looking to buy pills.
Butler Johnson, 21, told officers he was stabbed at Kensington and Dennick avenues about 1:25 p.m. Wednesday. Reports said Johnson told officers he was in a car with a woman, and they were looking to buy pills when a man got in the car, pulled a homemade knife and demanded money.
The man got $50 and a cellphone and then stabbed Johnson three times, reports said. He drove himself to St. Elizabeth Health Center, reports said.
About 3:10 p.m., police were called to a 133 W. Dennick Ave. home where a woman said several people broke in by kicking in her door. When police arrived, there were six people in the driveway, and they were saying “they robbed my friend,” and “they stabbed my brother,” reports said.
The woman who lives in the apartment said two men broke down the door and three others joined them in coming inside. One of the men acted like he had a gun but police did not find a gun, reports said.
Reports also said several items from the woman’s home were thrown out the window.
The woman said it was her brother who stabbed Johnson earlier, and the five who tried to get inside her apartment were looking for her brother, reports said. She said they were threatening to shoot up her house and her brother for the stabbing, reports said.
As police were there, Johnson was released from the hospital and arrived on the scene, reports said.
Reports said five of the six people in the driveway were found to be in the house, and they all were arrested on a charge of burglary. Three adults, Shawntasia Moreland, 18, and Tyesha Tate, also 18, both of Tyrell Avenue, and Antwon Moreland, 20, were taken to the Mahoning County jail; two juveniles were taken to the Martin P. Joyce Juvenile Justice Center.
