Police made two drug arrests in two different parts of town Wednesday.

At 5:10 p.m., William Porter, 45, was arrested on the charges of possession of drugs and possession of drugs marijuana after he was found with 35 vicodin pills and a small bag of marijuana when he was seen by officers getting into a car belonging to an East Palestine man in front of 860 Plazaview Court on the East Side.

Earlier in the day, about 9:15 a.m., a car driven by Marco Hammond Jr., 26, of Youngstown, was pulled over for speeding and an improper lane change at the Wick Avenue Exit of U.S. 422 and police found 10 bags of marijuana inside the car and an additional two in the purse of a female passenger. Hammond was arrested on the charge of drug abuse and drug abuse possession. The woman was named in arrest reports for Hammond but it was not clear if she was cited or taken into custody.
