'Justice for Trayvon' rally set Saturday in downtown Youngstown
YOUNGSTOWN — The Greater Youngstown Community Mobilization Coalition along with its partner organizations — the local chapter of the NAACP, Greater Warren-Youngstown Urban League, Youngstown Warren Black Caucus, A. Philip Randolph Institute, Baptist Pastors’ Council, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, 100 Black Men, and the Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance — will have a “Justice for Trayvon” rally Saturday on the steps of the Mahoning County Courthouse, 120 Market St.
The rally begins at 11 a.m. and will last about one hour.
It is part of others that will be in cities across the country Saturday to show a unified African-American community that is deeply disappointed and thoroughly frustrated by the verdict in Trayvon’s death, according to a CMC press release.
