Police arrested five people about 3:20 p.m. Wednesday at a North Side home who they say were looking for payback following a stabbing earlier in the day of a man who was trying to buy pills.

Officers were called to an address in the one hundred block of W. Dennick Ave. for a report that someone had kicked in the door and at least one person had a gun. When they arrived they saw several people walking in the driveway. They were heard saying “he stabbed my brother” and “he robbed my friend” reports said.

The woman who lives in the home told police her brother had stabbed a man about 1:20 p.m. Wednesday at Dennick and Kenningston avenues. Brian Johnson, 21, had told police he was with another woman and went there to buy pills when a man got in the car with a homemade knife, threatened him, took $50 and his phone and stabbed him three times. He drove himself to St. Elizabeth Health Center.

The woman said two people kicked in the door and one of them acted like he had a gun and three other people managed to get inside. They threw several items out the window before leaving.

The five, three adults and two juveniles, were arrested on burglary charges and taken to the Mahoning County Jail. Johnson showed up while police were there, reports said. The adults arrested were Antwon Moreland, 20, of Ravenwood Avenue; Shawntasia Moreland, 18, of Tyrell Avenue; and Tyesha Tate, 18, also of Tyrell Avenue.
