Trumbull commissioners approve abatement for VEC expansion

WARREN — The Trumbull County commissioners gave final approval today to a tax abatement for VEC Inc. to help it carry out a $2.5 million expansion at its Erie Street facility.

The abatement, approved by Hubbard City Council on Monday, provides a 75-percent abatement over 10 years.

“You’re talking about 30 great-paying jobs and the potential for more,” Commissioner Frank Fuda said of the expansion.
