Charlie Daniels tickets available

HARTFORD

The Charlie Daniels Band will come to Sharon Speedway, 3241 Custer-Orangeville Road, for an Aug. 14 concert. Doors open at 6 p.m. Opening act will be the Fillbillys.

Advance tickets are $33 and are available at the track during race events, online at brownpapertickets.com, and by phone at 800-838-3006. Tickets will be $37 at the gate.

This outdoor show, to take place on the grass infield of the track, will go on rain or shine. The grandstand facilities will be open, and there will be beer and concession vendors. RVs are welcome.

Concert-goers can bring portable chairs.

‘Peter Pan’ film at outdoor event

POLAND

“Peter Pan,” the 1953 film, will be shown at Yellow Creek Theater at dusk Friday. The Tinkerbell character will visit the grounds at 8 p.m. to tell stories to children. Bring a blanket or chair. Admission is free.

The outdoor theater is on the grounds of Poland library. The movie will be shown on the U.S. Route 224 bridge wall.

Art show, sale at Gallery 29

SHARON, Pa.

Gallery 29, 146 E. State St., downtown, will have a Christmas in July sale Friday and Saturday. To launch the event, a wine tasting will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday.

A wide selection of art, including jewelry, paintings, photography and furniture, will be available, as well as pottery, stained glass, fabric art and blown glass.

Gallery 29 is a collaboration of more than 80 local artists.
