Route 14 to be constricted during Washingtonville work

Washingtonville

Work is set to begin Monday on a $900,000 intersection improvement project in the village of Washingtonville in Columbiana County.

The intersection of East Street and Washingtonville Road will be realigned to match at state Route 14, and state Route 14 will be widened to provide turn lanes and a new traffic signal. New sidewalks will also be constructed within the project.

Traffic will be maintained in two 10 foot lanes during construction.

The Ohio Department of Transportation’s contractor for this project is R.T. Vernal Paving Co. Inc. of North Lima. All work is expected to be completed by the spring of 2014.
