Lockwood United Methodist Church, 4570 Lockwood Blvd., Boardman, will sponsor a free community picnic from 5 to 6:30 p.m. today. Menu items are hot dogs, potato salad, corn, dessert and beverages.

THURSDAY

Woodworth Church of the Brethren, 30 E. Western Reserve Road, Poland, will serve beef tips and noodles takeout dinners from 2:30 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. Cost is $7. Menu consists of sirloin angus beef tips, noodles, mixed vegetables, roll and cookie. Drive up to the back door, and place your order. It will be delivered to your car. FRIDAY

Canfield Lions Club will have a fish fry from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St., Canfield. Meals include a choice of baked or fried fish; french fries, macaroni and cheese, pirogi or haluski; and coleslaw, green beans, roll, dessert and beverage. The cost is $10.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

SATURDAY

VFW Post 2799 will serve a homestyle breakfast sponsored by the ladies auxiliary from 8 a.m. to noon. $5 for adults; $3 for children under 12 years old. The menu consists of eggs, hash browns, sausage or ham, pancakes or freedom toast, toast and coffee or tea.

UPCOMING

Youngstown Shrine Club Pavilion, 1735 W. South Range Road, North Lima, will be the location of the annual prime rib roast from 4 to 8 p.m. July 27 for adults only. The meal with refreshments will cost $30 per person. Advance purchase of tickets is preferred but walk-ups will be permitted.
